SkillsUSA Week!

Cheers to a great 2025 SkillsUSA Week! Last week, chapters across the country honored their community supporters, connected with local business and industry professionals and shared SkillsUSA with their administrators. Our national officers were busy, too, making visits to partners, advocating in D.C. and more!

We encourage you to share your stories with the SkillsUSA headquarters and we just may feature your chapter on the SkillsUSA Champions digital hub or on our social media. We would also like to feature your photos in a Flickr gallery on our website. Send your photo links to Craig Moore or upload them here. In the meantime, check out our SkillsUSA Flickr page and our SkillsUSA Week 2025 Recap. Thanks for being an advocate for SkillsUSA and career and technical education.

Register by March 1 to Meet Eligibility Requirements

The national SkillsUSA membership deadline is March 1. Student members must meet both their state deadline and the March 1 national membership deadline to be eligible for national competitions; to serve as voting delegates; to run for national office; or to apply for national scholarships, awards and honors. See the  state dues and deadlines. Teachers, learn how to access your professional membership benefits in this video tutorial.

Hershey Heartwarming Young Heroes Grants Available

In partnership with The Hershey Company and Hershey’s Heartwarming Project, Youth Service America (YSA) is looking for the best ideas from young people about how to support their community through acts of awareness, direct service, advocacy and philanthropy for Youth Service Month & Global Youth Service Day 2024. Hershey Heartwarming Young Heroes Grants of $250 and $500 will be awarded to young people between the ages of 5 and 25 in the U.S. and Canada to turn their ideas into action!  Projects may address any issue or community need that is important to the youth project leaders and their peers. All proposed projects should engage a diverse group of youth volunteers from different social backgrounds and provide opportunities for those youth volunteers to create meaningful connections with their peers, caring adults, and community partners, while developing social awareness and relationship skills. Learn more about the program and share your idea by March 16.
